Booking Outfits Locations Rules Modelling How It Works
Pick an available slot on the booking page, choose one or two styles, describe both outfits, then fill in your details and apply. That slot is held for you immediately while it's reviewed, and you'll hear back with a real confirmation once it's approved.
No. This is a TFP collaboration, not a paid booking, no money changes hands either way, at any stage of the process.
Every application is personally reviewed, most are reviewed quickly, but if it's been a while, checking your spam folder is worth doing first, since the review or confirmation email can occasionally land there. Reaching out directly is always fine if you're unsure.
Yes, the manage link in your confirmation email lets you reschedule or cancel yourself at any time, no need to message directly for either.
As soon as a slot that works for you is available, popular times and locations tend to get applied for quickly. New slots are announced through the notify list if nothing currently open suits you.
Yes, there's no limit, some models come back for a fresh set once their portfolio needs updating, or to try a different style. Each session is booked and reviewed the same way as the first.
Roughly two hours in total, around an hour per outfit, a working rhythm that covers both outfits properly without feeling rushed between changes. Exact timing depends on the specific slot booked.
Exactly two, decided and described when you apply. See the outfit guide for the full breakdown of what tends to work well.
No, you source and bring your own outfits, there's no stylist or wardrobe on set. Thinking through what you'd want to be seen in is part of the exercise.
The outfit guide has 21 style starting points with example descriptions for each, a good place to begin if you're not sure where to start.
Two distinct outfits give more usable variety for a portfolio than one outfit shot two ways, so it's worth planning two different looks if you can.
Each is a different starting mood and aesthetic, from clean and minimal to bold and editorial, rather than a strict rulebook. The outfit guide shows the full range with a short description of each.
Yes, styling yourself head to toe is part of the shoot, shoes and accessories included. They're often what pulls an outfit together, so it's worth giving them the same thought as the outfit itself.
Hoodies and costumes aren't part of these sessions. Sportswear isn't in the outfit guide, so only bring it if it's clearly styled, not just put together. A logo worn for its own sake, a slogan tee, or very fine stripes and tiny checks also tend to work against you on camera.
Each slot on the booking page has its own location attached, shown before you apply. The exact meeting point is confirmed once your application's approved.
Light rain usually isn't a problem, but bad weather means rescheduling to a different day, sorted directly by email once it's clear the forecast is a real problem, not just overcast skies.
Studio slots are listed alongside outdoor ones on the booking page when available, they're a separate location option rather than something added to any booking after the fact.
All locations are across London, see the locations page for the full list and where each one is.
Accessibility varies by specific location, it's worth asking directly before booking if this matters for your session, so it can be planned around properly.
This varies by spot, most outdoor locations are chosen for being easy to reach by public transport rather than by car. Worth checking the specific area in advance if you're driving.
You must be 18 or older to attend a session alone. If you're 16 or 17, a parent or guardian approves your application first, and they or another adult aged 21 or over must be with you for the whole session. Sessions aren't available to anyone under 16.
Yes, a friend, chaperone, stylist, or makeup artist is welcome, just worth mentioning in advance so the day can be planned around the extra person.
Your booking record and emails are deleted 30 days after your session, or once your gallery is sent if that's later, and full details of what's collected, why, and your rights under UK GDPR are in the privacy notice.
You get a licence to use your images personally, on social media, a portfolio, a comp card, or agency submissions, that's one of the main reasons people book a session in the first place. Full terms are laid out on the terms page.
Running more than 20 minutes late without letting Metty know may mean the session gets cancelled on the day, and repeated no-shows on studio bookings specifically can affect future studio access. See the full terms page for how this is handled.
Every image delivered is professionally edited and represents genuine effort on both sides. Specific concerns are always worth raising directly, and are looked at individually rather than against a fixed policy.
The manage link in your confirmation email lets you reschedule yourself at any time, even close to the date, though earlier notice always gives more flexibility on available slots.
TFP means a photographer and a model collaborate on a shoot without any money changing hands, both sides walk away with images they can use, the model for a portfolio, the photographer for their own work.
TFP is a genuine, long-established part of the industry, not a lesser version of paid work. It exists for the situation where a model needs a portfolio and doesn't have one yet, and is usually what makes paid work possible in the first place.
Most models start with no experience at all, that's exactly what a first TFP session is for. The shoot itself is usually how someone gets their first real portfolio images.
A model an agency has taken on to develop. The agency tests and guides them while it works out where they fit. Agencies use the name differently: at some it comes before New Faces, at others it means the same thing. There's more in Aspiring, Development, New Face or Working?
Yes. Select I'm a Model Booker when applying, the model's own name and email are still what's used throughout, she receives every confirmation directly, and the booker's contact stays separate for reaching them specifically about the booking.
A photographer takes the images and directs the shoot. A booker or agency represents models professionally, submitting them for jobs and managing their career, they don't take the photos themselves. A model book built with a photographer is usually the material an agency needs to represent someone in the first place. See the modelling guides for much more on portfolios, agencies, and getting started.
Your slot is held immediately, and a short email confirms your application's been received. Once it's personally reviewed and approved, you'll get a full confirmation with directions and a calendar invite. See how it works for the full walkthrough.
A meeting at the confirmed location, a genuine two-way conversation about direction rather than rigid instructions, and time for both outfits at a relaxed pace. Arriving a few minutes early to settle in is always worth it.
A gallery link is sent by email once your images are edited and ready, no fixed turnaround is promised, but it's worth the wait. You'll receive a minimum of 60 edited images.
A minimum of 60, typically anywhere from 60 to 180 depending on the session. It's intentionally a large selection of the best images from your shoot, all professionally edited, so you have real choice for your portfolio, socials and agency.
Every confirmation and reminder includes a map pin for the exact spot. If you still can't find me, message me on Instagram or WhatsApp. The links are in every email.
Yes. Describe your two outfits in your application, then reply to the email you get once you've applied with any photos.
Yes, your outfit and style choices when applying already shape the direction for your session, and there's room for your own ideas within that on the day too.
Simply apply for a new slot on the booking page whenever one that works comes up, there's no separate process for returning.
Yes, checking a few frames on the back of the camera between setups is completely normal and part of how direction gets refined as the session goes.
